Jerusalem opens the Festival of Lights with an exceptionally rich lineup of cultural, artistic and family events spread across the entire city. This year, Hanukkah in Jerusalem becomes a panoramic celebration of light, music, flavors and creativity, blending tradition with large scale imaginative productions.

City officials emphasize that the true light of Jerusalem comes from its people and communities. Public squares, promenades and landmark sites will be decorated with giant light installations, and the city will offer activities for visitors of every age. Safra Square will transform into a vibrant living gallery, the New Gate will fill with color and tastes, and the city’s arenas will host major performances and international shows.

Jerusalem’s Mayor Moshe Lion notes that “Jerusalem is proud to restore Hanukkah events to center stage. The capital offers a unique experience that cannot be found anywhere else in Israel. I wish all residents and visitors a joyful Festival of Lights.”
