During the latest missile barrage from Iran toward Israel, Jerusalem was among the areas affected. On Monday afternoon, numerous pieces of interception debris fell across the city and nearby areas, including near Beit Shemesh and within Jerusalem itself.

One piece of debris landed inside a synagogue in central Jerusalem. No injuries were reported.

Additional interception debris fell in several neighborhoods across Jerusalem, from the western parts of the city to eastern areas, where the largest piece of debris was apparently recorded. At this stage, no injuries have been reported.

Jerusalem District Police said: “Officers of the Jerusalem District, Border Police fighters and police bomb disposal experts are currently conducting searches to locate fallen weapons fragments or interception debris within the Jerusalem District.

We call on the public to remain attentive and follow instructions, avoid approaching sites where weapons fragments have fallen, keep traffic routes clear for emergency and rescue forces, refrain from touching any items or interception debris, and allow police and emergency services to carry out life-saving operations. Israel Police are deployed across all sectors and will continue to act to ensure public safety.”
