During the search, officers uncovered makeshift hiding places inside caravans. They seized suspected drugs in non-personal quantities, including one kilogram of marijuana, more than half a kilogram of hashish, cocaine, and hundreds of ecstasy pills. Significant amounts of cash were also found. At the end of the operation, the caravans themselves were destroyed on site

Hundreds of ecstasy pills, Hebron resident arrested
A Palestinian resident of Hebron, staying illegally in Israel, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the drug trade. He was transferred for questioning at the Shalem police station and will face a remand hearing tomorrow. In addition, police seized four vehicles intended for forfeiture, and municipal enforcement officials confiscated several horses that were transferred to the city’s veterinary service

Jerusalem’s anti-drug fight continues with city cooperation
Against this backdrop, police emphasized that joint service centers operating in East Jerusalem neighborhoods will continue to work both through community engagement and firm enforcement. According to the police, the fight against drug trafficking in Jerusalem is part of an ongoing campaign to track down dealers, destroy criminal infrastructure, and bring suspects to justice. The Silwan operation, supported by Border Police and a canine unit, is seen as another step in strengthening the city’s public security
