It’s more than a tournament – it’s a love story between basketball, community, and the streets of Jerusalem. Now in its 28th year, Streetball Jerusalem 2025 brings back the energy, the legends, the memories, and the dreams — one bounce at a time. In a city where every alley tells a story, Safra Square transforms into an open court of hope, competition, and inspiration

A Basketball Festival in the Heart of Jerusalem

From July 22–23, Jerusalem’s Safra Square will come alive with 11 outdoor courts, hundreds of players, and nonstop basketball action. The country’s largest streetball event features shooting contests, a modern central court, and 14 age categories — welcoming athletes of all backgrounds and levels

Registration is already open, with thousands of players from across the country confirming their place. But this isn’t just about competition — it’s a celebration of connection, rhythm, and resilience

A Slam-Dunk Contest for Kids – Only in Jerusalem

Where else in the world can children participate in an official slam-dunk contest on a lowered hoop? Streetball Jerusalem didn’t just start a tradition — it created a new genre where young players become heroes, in a tournament that understands the power of excitement

Honoring the Founders of the Game

The opening ceremony will pay tribute to the late Amnon Schenck, founder and longtime director of Streetball Jerusalem, who passed away five years ago after more than two decades of leading the event. A Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented to Danny Klein, former chairman of Hapoel Jerusalem, in recognition of his immense contribution to Israeli sports and basketball.

At a time when the city continues to recover and rebuild, this annual tradition offers a quiet form of healing — through every pass, jump, and shot

Once Again, Jerusalem Is the Center of the Game

As Mayor Moshe Lion put it: “Streetball Jerusalem is a symbol of the city’s vitality — even in the hardest of times.”

And indeed, as Jerusalem rises from one challenge to the next, its heartbeat is felt in every court, every cheer, and every child picking up a ball for the first time
