Jerusalem Motorcycle Stunt – The Risk Ended

During a Jerusalem noise enforcement sweep, a rider performed a dangerous stunt – video

A motorcycle rider who lifted both legs onto the handlebar while riding through Jerusalem became the central incident in a weekend enforcement sweep carried out by Jerusalem District officers. The risky stunt, captured on a busy urban road, highlighted a problem city residents have been reporting for months: reckless riding and noisy, modified vehicles disrupting the city’s streets.

Jerusalem noisy motorcycles – what can be done about the problem?

During the operation, officers inspected around 300 vehicles. Sixty six were removed from the road for mechanical defects, excessive noise, illegal structural changes or other violations. Jerusalem District officers report a growing wave of public complaints regarding noise disturbances, especially in neighborhoods affected by modified or faulty motorcycles.

Does broad traffic enforcement improve safety in Jerusalem?

Yes, and this incident made it clear. After the rider carried out the dangerous stunt, officers stopped him, issued a citation and summoned him for further handling. Alongside this case, Jerusalem District officers and the Ministry of Environmental Protection have been carrying out deeper enforcement steps in recent months: targeted noise monitoring, mechanical inspections of vehicles suspected of abnormal emissions and intelligence gathering in areas with increased reports of noise and reckless riding.

At the end of the operation, Jerusalem District officers stated: “The road is not a stunt arena. Any behavior that endangers road users will be handled firmly and with zero tolerance”.
