In a city where every summer is both a challenge and an opportunity, sometimes it’s the simplest things that lift us the highest. As children stay home and parents seek a breath of air, Jerusalem offers a rare and welcoming event: three open-air afternoons of kites, creativity, performances and family time — all free of charge, and all about raising your eyes to the sky

Air, space and community – the Jerusalem way
Located beside the walls of the Old City, Bloomfield Garden has become one of the most beloved places for young families in Jerusalem. The municipality’s Youth Authority leads year-round events there, aiming to create living, creative spaces that connect people to one another – and to the city itself

Between a kite and a circus – a summer story
In Jerusalem, a kite is more than a toy – it’s a symbol of hope. Between circus shows and storytelling corners, this festival reminds us how summer in the city can be colorful, playful and healing. These three days offer a gentle break from routine – in the very heart of Jerusalem’s unique landscape
