Propaganda? Memorabilia from Nablus to Jerusalem

Jerusalem Police say militant-themed items were seized on their way to the Old City

Jerusalem District Police officers, together with IDF forces from the Samaria Brigade, operated overnight in the city of Nablus following intelligence about the sale of extremist memorabilia intended for shops in Jerusalem’s Old City. Officers searched a business and a private home, and video from the scene shows the seized items and the operation carried out by the forces.

Jerusalem Police investigation on propaganda items

During the raid, dozens of items were seized: photos of militants, necklaces and pendants with militant figures, phone cases with terror symbols and other memorabilia suspected of encouraging violence. The shop owner, a man in his 30s from Nablus, was arrested and taken for questioning at the David Subdistrict in Jerusalem on suspicion of possessing propaganda materials and supporting a terror organization.

Jerusalem District Police say the operation is part of an ongoing intelligence effort to locate, expose and prevent the distribution of extremist propaganda in Jerusalem. Police sources said: “We will continue to act, together with other security forces, against anyone involved in the production, distribution or sale of propaganda items, and we will bring them to justice for endangering public safety in Jerusalem and the Old City.”
