Moria Station – quick arrest and prevention of tragedy

The incident occurred in a southern neighborhood of the city when a kindergarten employee noticed a man ringing the bell repeatedly and demanding to see a child. After staff realized he was unknown to them, the suspect allegedly entered a parent’s vehicle and tried to start it. The parent intervened, blocked the suspect, and held him until officers from Moria Police Station in the Zion District arrived.

The man was arrested and taken for questioning at Moria Station in Jerusalem. After interrogation, he was placed in custody, and on Thursday morning he was brought before a judge at the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court for a remand hearing. Police said they are investigating whether he is linked to other incidents in the city.
