More than 150 Christian journalists and opinion leaders arrived in Jerusalem for the opening event of the Christian Media Summit at the Friends of Zion Museum. Their presence during a sensitive moment underscores the importance that Christian media outlets place on direct reporting from Israel and on meeting key public diplomacy bodies in Jerusalem.

During the event, representatives of the hosting institutions welcomed the participants. Daniel Vaitcik, CEO of the Friends of Zion Museum, thanked the journalists for coming:
“These days it is especially important to come to Israel, to learn the facts first-hand, and to see that we have been under a media attack for more than two years. The eighth front of our struggle is the front of public diplomacy, and unlike the other fronts, here we need a great deal of help. You came to see and to tell what you see, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for leaving everything and coming to Israel. Many experiences await you, and I hope you will be reliable ambassadors and spread the truth everywhere you go.”

In the coming days, the summit will include tours in the north, south and Samaria, alongside a meeting with the Mayor of Jerusalem and current-affairs panels. The annual event brings together Christian media leaders from around the world to strengthen ties and enable direct reporting from Jerusalem.

The event was organized by the Government Press Office, Friends of Zion Museum and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
