Between the hills west of Jerusalem, in a village famed for hospitality and hummus, police officers from the Jerusalem District encountered a very different story. During a joint operation by Harel detectives, Border Police K9 units, and the Military Police, officers uncovered extensive combat equipment hidden inside a reservist\u2019s car and home. His explanation was disarming: \u201cI\u2019m in reserve duty \u2013 I didn\u2019t want to leave it in the vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to police, the court-authorized search revealed three Airsoft pistols, one live handgun, 74 magazines, hundreds of rounds in various calibers, helmets, vests, and military uniforms. The suspect was arrested and transferred to the Military Police for further investigation into the source of the weapons. Police emphasized that possession of such equipment constitutes a serious offense, even without criminal intent.<\/p>\n
