The evening settled over Beit Shemesh and the road toward Jerusalem, but inside one apartment a simple argument turned violent. The child was watching a clip on his phone, the sound rose, and the father lost his temper. Within seconds the tension became an act of force. A fan was grabbed and thrown, striking the 12 year old in the head.<\/p>\n
The boy was taken by ambulance to a Jerusalem hospital for urgent treatment. Paramedics said he was conscious but shaken and in significant pain.<\/p>\n
According to initial findings, the child raised the volume on his phone, sparking an argument. The father responded by lifting a fan and throwing it at close range. The blow caused a head injury that required immediate evacuation to Jerusalem.<\/p>\n
The fan struck the upper part of the boy\u2019s head. At the scene, the fan\u2019s front grill lay detached on the floor beside the bed, along with items knocked over during the incident. The boy was stabilized and transported for further tests at the hospital.<\/p>\n
While the child was being treated in Jerusalem, Jerusalem District officers located the father in Beit Shemesh, arrested him, and brought him in for questioning. A remand hearing is expected later in the day.<\/p>\n
From the Jerusalem District Police it was stated: \u201cIsrael Police views any act of violence very seriously, especially violence within the family against minors and vulnerable individuals.
