Sukkot 2026 in Jerusalem is set to turn the city into a continuous sequence of festivals, performances, cultural events and family activities. After the Selichot season and the High Holy Days, the focus shifts to Jerusalem\u2019s neighborhoods, streets and public squares, with a wide range of events continuing throughout Chol HaMoed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday, September 27, the Saharna celebration, dedicated to the heritage of Kurdish Jews, will take place at the Museum of Tolerance on Hillel Street. The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and admission will be free. The program includes music performances, cultural and heritage presentations, traditional food stalls and performances by leading singers from the community. The main show will begin at 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the same day, the Bethlehem Road Festival will transform the street into a space for music, art and community activity. From 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., visitors will find performances, creative workshops, children\u2019s areas, food and art stalls and activities for the whole family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On September 28 and 29, the \u201cGreen Inside and Out\u201d festival will take place across Jerusalem for the sixth time. The festival will include dozens of tours, activities and events focusing on urban nature, sustainability, community and the environment, while introducing visitors to natural and community spaces throughout the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On October 1 and 2, the focus will shift to Ein Kerem. The Ein Kerem Festival will offer two days of music, art and nature among the neighborhood\u2019s picturesque alleys. The program includes performances in courtyards and private homes, open studios, guided tours, children\u2019s shows, workshops, activities in the community forest, a procession and a main stage operating into the night. Admission is free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A traditional Mayor\u2019s Sukkah will be set up at Safra Square throughout Chol HaMoed, with performances and activities for the public. Additional equipped sukkahs will also be placed along sections affected by light rail construction, including the German Colony, the Talpiot district, Hebron Road and King George Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The traditional Jerusalem March will take place on September 28 and will include walking routes and a festive family event at Sacher Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said: \u201cThe Tishrei holidays in Jerusalem are always a special time, when the entire city fills with visitors, prayers, traditions and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else,\u201d adding that the municipality is preparing to allow residents and visitors to enjoy the city\u2019s events and holiday traditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
