Jerusalem is no longer just preserving its heritage \u2013 it\u2019s actively designing its future. A new urban project near the Malha Tech Park proposes a model of integrated living that aims to reshape daily life in the city\u2019s southwest<\/p>\n

Recently recommended for final approval by the local planning committee, the development includes two 30-story residential towers with a total of 482 housing units. Notably, 200 of these units will be offered for long-term rental agreements of at least 20 years \u2013 a rare step toward housing security in Israel\u2019s capital<\/p>\n

Submitted by the National Planning Administration and designed by Parhi Tsafrir Architects, the project sits along the Jerusalem light rail corridor, ensuring direct access to transit, commerce and public services<\/p>\n

More than just housing, the plan includes daycare centers, kindergartens and a public school, alongside retail and office space. The municipality has called to add cultural and sports facilities, expand bicycle infrastructure, and ensure accessibility at street level \u2013 all part of a broader move toward smart, livable urbanism<\/p>\n

Twelve of the 482 apartments are conditioned on the creation of a long-term maintenance fund \u2013 a structural commitment to preserving the quality and care of the buildings long after they are built<\/p>\n
