Dozens of passengers wait, eyes fixed on the bus lane and the digital timetable.<br data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"918\" \/>Time passes. No bus. No shade. No solution. Just exhaustion<br data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"981\" \/>At the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, the situation is even worse. The platforms are packed. Chaos reigns. No one knows where to stand or how to board<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1548\">In Ma\u2019ale HaShalom, outside the Dung Gate, the wait for buses 1 and 3 defies logic<br data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1220\" \/>Tiny benches for men and women, the rest are left standing. 35\u00b0C heat<br data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1293\" \/>Babies cry in their mothers\u2019 arms, empty bottles of formula<br data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1356\" \/>Toddlers scream, faces flushed, dragged between exhausted adults<br data-start=\"1421\" data-end=\"1424\" \/>People step into the street \u2013 there\u2019s no room left on the sidewalk<br data-start=\"1491\" data-end=\"1494\" \/>And no, this isn\u2019t a rare occasion \u2013 this is the norm<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"2180\"><strong data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1594\">No buses, no logic \u2013 and no end in sight<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"2180\">When a bus finally arrives, the chaos intensifies<br data-start=\"1647\" data-end=\"1650\" \/>Survival instinct kicks in: everyone pushes toward the doors, blocking passengers trying to get off<br data-start=\"1750\" data-end=\"1753\" \/>A traffic jam on the bus steps<br data-start=\"1784\" data-end=\"1787\" \/>There\u2019s no space. No air. No privacy<br data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1827\" \/>\u201cI was sitting so close to a stranger\u2019s face, I could see the world through his glasses,\u201d writes one commuter<br data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"1940\" \/>It\u2019s sardine-level overcrowding \u2013 while inspectors check travel passes<br data-start=\"2011\" data-end=\"2014\" \/>No way to grab a small water bottle or catch your breath<br data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2074\" \/>This isn\u2019t London or Switzerland.
