As part of a nationwide pilot, the system transforms infectious medical waste into regular, safe trash \u2014 marking a significant move toward sustainable healthcare innovation in Israel\u2019s capital<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"906\"><strong data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"669\">From Hazard to Routine<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"906\">The advanced machine processes up to 80 liters of infectious waste in a 20-minute cycle, rendering it safe for standard disposal. Har Hotzvim was selected due to its high waste output, making it the ideal site to debut the technology<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"1221\"><strong data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"939\">Global Vision, Local Action<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"1221\">Tali Haviv, administrative director and head of innovation at Clalit Jerusalem, stated: \u201cThis is the next step in our green revolution \u2014 combining innovation, environmental responsibility, and public health. We&#8217;re taking hazardous material and turning it into safe waste \u2014 an environmental and operational win<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1789\">The pilot follows months of operational preparation and interdepartmental collaboration. Among the key players: Ramma Mintz, regional logistics nurse; Liat Raz, safety coordinator; the lab&#8217;s leadership; and Yossi Fedida, regional maintenance manager.
